Batesville Toastmasters will meet April 23, 5:30 p.m., Community Church of Batesville, 103 E. George St. Info: 934-3462.

Batesville Memorial Public Library trustees will meet April 23, 5 p.m.

Purdue University leaders will give an update about the Rebuilding Your Local Food System Program Pilot April 23, 7-9 p.m., Southeastern Indiana YMCA. Child care will be provided: Deanna Hookway, deanna_hookway@etczone.com.

Thursday, April 24

The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District Arbor Day Tree Giveaway and Food Drive is April 24, beginning at 9 a.m., 10165 Oxford Pike, Brookville. Over 600 seedlings are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

A coffee social will be held April 24, 4:30-6:30 p.m., St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Fink’s Road, Osgood. Freewill offering.

Batesville Lions Club will host a special dinner/guest night April 24, 6:30 p.m., Sherman House. Nance Widdowson will talk about her recent trip to India. RSVP: Ted Hartshorn, 934-2636.

The Secular Franciscans, a fraternity for lay people who want to follow the rule of life of St. Francis of Assisi, will meet April 24, 6:30 p.m., Holy Family Church, Oldenburg, Father Rudolf Room.

Friday, April 25

Batesville Jaycees Scholarship applications are available at www.batesvilleinschools.com/bhs under “Guidance.” Batesville High School seniors who are scholastic four-year award winners can apply for the $2,000 scholarship. Completed forms must be turned into Rose Lacey (F108) by April 25, 3:30 p.m.
