Earth Day/Arbor Day

Earth Day/Arbor Day is April 22, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Batesville public library. Speakers and vendors will offer tips for vegetable gardening and drip irrigation and a storyteller will present American Indian ecology tales. Pecan seedlings will be given away.

The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will sponsor a mother daughter book discussion for grades 6-12 April 23, 7 p.m. Info: 812-663-2826.

The Secular Franciscans, a fraternity for lay people who want to follow the rule of life of St. Francis, will meet April 26, 6:30 p.m., Holy Family Catholic Church, Oldenburg, Father Rudolf Room.

Scholarship Deadline

The Batesville Jaycees Scholarship is open to all Batesville High School seniors who have completed at least two full years at BHS and received at least a Scholastic First Year Certificate. Applications are available at ww.batesville.k12.in.us/bhs. Click on “Guidance” and then “Scholarships.” Applications are due to Rose Lacey by April 27, 3:30 p.m. 

Healthy Kids Day
