License Plate Meet

A license plate meet will be held April 21, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Hamburg Knights of St. John hall. Info: Glenn Bailey, 812-663-3632.

Covered Bridge

Run/Walk

The Covered Bridge Run/Walk is April 21, 8:30 a.m., Batesville High School. Hosted by Team Batesville, the 10-mile route takes participants to and from the covered bridge near Enochsburg.  There also are 5K or 10K options. Cost is $5 by April 13 or $10 after. Registration forms are available at www.mmch.org or by calling 934-4384.

Holly Bruns 5K

The Holly Bruns Memorial 5K Walk/Run is April 21, 10 a.m., Oldenburg Academy. Registration begins at 9 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Holy Bruns Scholarship. Info and to register: http://www. oldenburgacademy.org/ alumni/holly-bruns-5k-memorial-walkrun. aspx.

Architecture

Workshop

A free Vernacular Architecture Workshop is April 21, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Whitewater Valley Gateway Park’s Brook-ville Depot, Metamora. Participants will learn to document a house with photographs and measured drawings and develop accurate site and floor plans, details and elevations of historic buildings. The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will sponsor Battle of the Books April 21. Info: 812-663-2826.

Tenderloin Dinner

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hubbell’s Corner, is having a tenderloin dinner April 21, 5-7:30 p.m. Freewill offering.

Bluegrass

Family Night

Bluegrass Family Night features James White and Deer Creek April 21, 7 p.m., Whitewater Valley Gateway Park, Metamora. Admission: $6.

 

Sunday, April 22

Breakfast

A whole hog sausage and pancake breakfast will be held April 22, 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., St. Nicholas parish hall, Sunman. Freewill offering. Proceeds will help cover the bus cost for high school students to attend a Steubenville, Ohio, conference.

Chicken Dinner

The Delaware United Methodist Church is hosting a home cooked chicken dinner April 22, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Delaware Community Building. Cost: adults, $8; ages 12 and under, $4; carryouts, 50 cents extra.
