The deadline for area bands to register for the

Application Deadline

The East Indiana Area Health Education Center and Margaret Mary Community Hospital are offering a seven week Medical Scholars Academy for high school juniors and seniors and college freshman and sophomores. Auditions

Auditions for the Rural Alliance for the Arts community musical “On Our Way” are April 20, 6-9 p.m., and April 21, 8:30 a.m.-noon, Batesville High School music room. Covered Bridge

Run/Walk

The Covered Bridge Run/Walk is April 21, 8:30 a.m., Batesville High School. Hosted by Team Batesville, the 10-mile route takes participants to and from the covered bridge near Enochsburg.  There also are 5K or 10K options. Cost is $5 by April 13 or $10 after. Holly Bruns 5K

Earth Day/Arbor Day

Earth Day/Arbor Day is April 22, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Batesville public library. Speakers and vendors will offer tips for vegetable gardening and drip irrigation and a storyteller will present American Indian ecology tales. Pecan seedlings will be given away.
