Breakfast

The New Alsace Conservation Club will host a sausage and pancake breakfast April 14, 7:30 a.m.-noon, New Alsace American Legion post. Cost: adults, $8; children under 10, $4; under 3, free.

OFC Program

Historical Society

The public may attend the Franklin County Historical Society meeting April 15, The Hermitage, 650 E. Eighth St., Brookville: 6 p.m.., dinner; 7 p.m., “The 1913 Flood in the Whitewater Valley”  by Julia Dian-Reed, National Weather Service, Wilmington, Ohio, hydrologist. Dinner cost is $12. NARFE

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association meets the third Tuesday, including April 16, 10 a.m., Ponderosa Steakhouse, Greensburg. Info: 765-629-2720.

BAHS Meeting

The Batesville Area Historical Society will meet April 16, 7 p.m., Batesville Memorial Public Library. Sherman House owner Doug Bessler will discuss “My Ghost Story.”

Wed., April 17

Toastmasters

Batesville Toastmasters meetings, open to the public, are every other Wednesday, including April 17, noon-1 p.m. Info: 934-3462.

OFC Program

Scholarship Deadline

Nora E. Wonning Scholarship Trust Fund first-year and renewal applications are available from Batesville High School and Oldenburg Academy guidance counselors’ offices. They are due to BHS principal Sherri Preston by April 18 at 4 p.m.

Library Happenings

The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will sponsor Newspaper Blackout Poetry for grades 6-12 April 18, 6:30 p.m. Info: 812-663-2826.

SIEOC Conference Deadline
