Toy and Clothing Sale

St. Michael School, Brookville, is hosting its fifth annual children’s toy and clothing sale April 6, 8 a.m.-noon.

Machinery Swap

The Franklin County Antique Machinery Swap Meet is April 6, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Franklin County Fairgrounds, Brookville. Admission: $3. Info: Wilfred Schwegman, 812-525-5351.

River Rendezvous

The free Whitewater River Rendezvous is April 6, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Harmony Crown Room third floor, 734 Main St., Brookville. The event will showcase services and goods of local restaurants and businesses to fly-fishing enthusiasts.

Car Wash

Leo Giesey of Boy Scout Troop 634 will hold a car wash April 6, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Cross County Plaza behind McDonald’s, to raise money for his Eagle Scout project to landscape the downtown.

Chicken/Beef Dinner

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Crossroads, will have its annual chicken and beef dinner April 6, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Freewill offering. Carryouts: adults, $8; children 10 and under, $4.

Sunday, April 7

Chicken Dinner

The Sunman American Legion, its auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion will host a chicken dinner April 7, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Freewill offering.

Cross Eyed Riders

The Christian Motorcyclists Cross Eyed Riders No. 752 will meet April 7, Hog Rock Cafe, 101 E. Carr St., Milan. Food and fellowship, 1 p.m.; meeting, 2 p.m. Info: 513-218-9707.

Easter Musical

Easter will be celebrated with an ecumenical service April 7, 7 p.m., St. John’s United Church of Christ, Huntersville. Over 80 voices from more than 18 churches will harmonize on “He is Worthy.”

Monday, April 8

Scholarship Deadline

Stayin’ Alive scholarship applications from  high school seniors who are  Franklin County residents are due by 4 p.m. April 8.  Scholarships are based on financial need, academic achievement and the student’s written essay on the positive or negative impact that substance abuse has had on his or her life.
