Spud, Soup and Salad

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Huntersville, will have a freewill offering lunch, featuring baked potatoes, salad bar and soups March 4, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., dining room. Silent auction.

Stillboard/Trap Shoot

The Batesville Knights of St. John are hosting a stillboard and trap shoot March 4, 11 a.m., Tri-Township Conservation Club, Oldenburg.  Prizes: meat and money.

 

Monday, March 5

D of I

The Daughters of Isabella will meet March 5, 7 p.m., Batesville Knights of Columbus hall. Bring a shirt for the logo.

Scholarship Applications Due

The postmark deadline for Franklin County Community Foundation scholarship applications is March 5. Students may download them from the Web site www.franklincountyindiana.com. Info: 765-647-6810.

BFCCC Dinner RSVP Deadline

The Brookville/ Franklin County Chamber of Commerce annual meeting is March 14, 6 p.m., Schilling Center, 900 Mill St., Brookville. Franklin County Sheriff Ken Murphy is the guest speaker. Cost: $15. RSVPs due by March 5: 765-647-3177.

World War II Discussion Group

The World War II Discussion Group will meet March 6, 10 a.m., The Waters of Batesville. Ron Reitz will give a presentation on the Battle of the Bulge, and a show and tell of World War II items by veterans is planned.

Scrapbooking

The Sassy Scrappers scrapbooking group for ladies 12 and older meets the first and third Tuesdays of each month, including March 6, 6 p.m., Church on the Rock, 407 N. Township Line Road. Participants should bring their own supplies. RSVP so work spaces and refreshments can be arranged: 934-3154.

Napoleon

Senior Club

Live Y’ers

Live Y’ers, organized by the Southeastern Indiana YMCA for those 55 and older, will meet March 7, 11 a.m.-noon, YMCA adult lounge. Info: 934-6006.

Kindergarten Registration

St. Nicholas School, Sunman, will hold kindergarten registration March 7, noon-7 p.m., for children  who will be 5 years old by Aug. 1.  Parents must bring copies of the child’s birth certificate and immunization records. Info and appointments: 812-623-2348.
