Grant Writing

Workshop

The two-day Beginner's Guide to Grant Writing Workshop for those who work for nonprofit organizations and government agencies, presented by the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, is March 21 and April 17, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Franklin County Government Center, Brookville.  Registra-tion is $150. The Batesville Memorial Public Library is hosting a Meet the Author Night March 22, 6:30 p.m., for Melissa Dashiell, who was born and raised in Batesville. Info and to register: 934-4706.

Secular Franciscans

The Secular Franciscans, a fraternity for lay people who want to follow the rule of life of St. Francis, will meet March 22, 6:30 p.m., Holy Family Catholic Church, Oldenburg, Father Rudolf Room.

St. Martin Catholic Church, Yorkville, is holding a fish fry March 23, 4:30-7 p.m.

 

Saturday, March 24

Spring Dinner

The Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3183 Ladies’ Auxiliary will have its annual spring dinner March 24, 4:30-7:30 p.m.  Pork loin and meatloaf dinners will be served. Cost: $8. Carryouts available.

Chicken Dinner

The Batesville Knights of Columbus are hosting a chicken dinner March 24, 5-8 p.m. Proceeds benefit American Legion Baseball Team. Info: 934-2729.

 

Sunday, March 25

Stillboard/Trap Shoot

Tri-Township Conservation Club, Oldenburg, will have a stillboard and trap shoot March 25, 11 a.m.  Prizes: meat and money. Free hamburgers for all shooters.

Quiltmakers

Hunter Safety Course
