Great Green

Restaurant Race

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce Great Green Restaurant Race is March 17, 11 a.m., corner of George and Main streets. Workers at full-service restaurants dress up and compete in races for time and accuracy.

Super Bingo

A $5,000 Super Bingo will be held March 17, Sunman American Legion. Doors open at 2 p.m. Roast beef dinner, 3-5 p.m.; Early bird games, 5:30 p.m.; regular games, 6 p.m. Cost: $35, includes 14 regular games, four special games and dinner. Info: 812-623-2972.

Spaghetti Dinner

The St. Anthony Catholic Church St. Anne’s Ladies Society are hosting a spaghetti dinner March 17, 4:30-7:30 p.m., Schad Hall, Morris. Freewill offering. Carryouts available.

Chicken Dinner

The Batesville Knights of Columbus are hosting a chicken dinner March 17, 5-8 p.m. Cost: adults, $10; kids ages 3-12, $6. Carryouts available. Proceeds benefit Oldenburg Academy Students in Sports Athletic Boosters Club. Info: 934-2729.

St. Patrick’s Dance

Batesville Eagles Aerie 1130 is holding a smoke-free St. Patrick’s Day dance with music by the Classic Rock Band March 17, 8 p.m.-midnight.

Breakfast

A breakfast will be held March 18, 7 a.m.-noon, Holy Family Catholic Church cafeteria. Proceeds support all Religious education programs.

St. Jacob’s United Church of Christ, Blue Creek Road, is having a sausage and pancake breakfast March 18, 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Bake sale, raffle.

Paddle Auction

The Project T3 Paddle Auction is March 18, 2:30 p.m., Sherman House. Tickets at $15 include a light lunch, dessert, tea or coffee and one paddle. Proceeds will help area foster children and others in need. Info or to purchase tickets: Lisa Haessig, 934-2585.

Family Literacy Night

Children’s and adult author Amy Krouse Rosenthal will speak at a Family Literacy Night March 19, 6:30 p.m., Batesville Primary School cafeteria as part of the Arts in Education Evening Series presented by the Rural Alliance for the Arts.
