The Batesville Middle School Scholastic Book Fair is Oct. 24, 4:30-7:30 p.m.; Oct. 25-31, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., media center. Muffins will be served to families Oct. 31, 7:30-8 a.m.

Friday, Oct. 25

A Bats and Boo...ks! Family Halloween Program is Oct. 25, 6:30-8 p.m., Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library. Info: 812-663-2826.

The EC Crush ‘em Classic, a volleyball tournament sponsored by East Central Team Boosters, is Nov. 3, East Central High School. Cost: $120 per team. Maximum of 20 teams. Cash prizes for first and second place. RSVP by Oct. 25: danaheileman.volleyball@gmail.com.

After turkey dinners Oct. 25-26, 7 p.m., Napoleon Community Center, an interactive mysterycalled “Farringways Funways” will be presented at Ye Olde Central House across the street. Tickets are $15. Reservations: Pat Hicks, 812-852-4818. Proceeds will help maintain the historic Central House.

Fear Factory is open Oct. 25-26, 7-10 p.m., RomWeber Marketplace (use east side Depot Street entrance between East Pearl and South streets). Cost: $5.

A Haunted Gym may be toured Oct. 25, 8 p.m.-midnight; and Oct. 26, 8-11 p.m., Tyson Activity Center, 100 N. High St., Versailles. Tickets are $5.

Saturday, Oct. 26

The Casket Cup 3 vs. 3 Soccer Tournament is Oct. 26. Paper registration forms can be picked up at the Bill Gillespie Soccer Park concession stand. Info and online registration: www.batesvillesoccer.org.

Brian Appleton’s Lungs for Life Benefit Ride and Car Show sponsored by the Ripley County Infamous Few is Oct. 26, Eastern Avenue between East Pearl and Boehringer streets. Motorcycle ride registration, 9-11:30 a.m.; ride, noon. Fees including dinner are $25 and $40 with passenger. Car show, noon-6 p.m. Public admission to bounce house and kids’ games is $15 per family; dinner, 4-6 p.m., $25 per person or $40 per couple.
