Saturday, March 3

Masonic Breakfast

Batesville Masonic Lodge 668 will serve a monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast March 3, 6-10 a.m. Minimum donation: adults, $5; children 6-12, $3; under 6, free. Takeout orders: 934-3144.

OFC Program

“What Does It Mean to Be Salt of Earth?” will be presented March 3, 9-11 a.m., Oldenburg Franciscan Center. Cost: $25. Info and reservations: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.

Chili Cookoff

The 10th annual Cedar Grove Firehouse Chili Cookoff is March 3, Cedar Volunteer Firehouse. Cooking starts at noon; judging, 3 p.m. Bring your own drinks. Info or entry form: Tom Brown, 765-647-6343.

Pork Chop Supper

 The Hamburg Knights of St. John are sponsoring a pork chop supper March 3, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Cost: $9.

Chicken Dinner

 A chicken dinner will be held March 3, 5-8 p.m., Batesville Knights of Columbus hall. Cost: adults, $10; ages 8 and under, $6. Carryouts available. All proceeds benefit St. Anthony of Padua’s Haiti sister parish school food program and medical mission trips. Info: 934-2729.

Steak Fry

The Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3183 men’s auxiliary will host a steak fry March 3, 5:30-8 p.m. with music by Alan Crum and karaoke, 8:30-11:30 p.m. Cost: $20. Info and tickets: Dogger, 216-9990.

BluegrassFamily Night

Bluegrass Family Night features Flatrock Bluegrass Band March 3, 7 p.m., Whitewater Valley Gateway Park, Metamora. Admission: $6.

Mineral, Fossil and Jewelry Show

The 39th annual Mineral, Fossil and Jewelry show is March 3, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and March 4, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Wayne County Fairgrounds, 861 N. Salisbury Road, Richmond. Cost: adults, $5; senior citizens, $3; ages 7-18, $1; 6 and under, free.

Breakfast

Holy Guardian Angels Parish, 405 U.S. 52, Cedar Grove, will hold its annual whole hog sausage and pancake breakfast March 4, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., school behind church. Freewill offering. Sausage patties will also be available for purchase.
