Kids Kick Drugs

Used Book Sale

Church on the Rock will host its annual used book sale July 28, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Proceeds benefit Safe Passage. Info: 934-5192.

Car and Bike Show

The first Liberty Ride Car and Bike Show is July 28, Liberty Park. Sign-up, 9 a.m. Ride cost: $10 per bike; $15 with passenger; car and bike show cost: $5 per vehicle. Proceeds will be used by the nonprofit Infamous Few to assist seniors and children. Info: jeremy@leescountryrv.com.

“Snow White”

Church Picnic

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Huntersville, annual church picnic is July 28, 5-8 p.m., church basement. Roast beef dinners, homemade ice cream, mock turtle soup, kids’ games, Eureka Band, pie auction.

Chicken Dinner/   400 Drawing

On July 28, Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271 will have a chicken dinner, 5 p.m.; and drawing for 400-mile race tickets, 8 p.m.

Rummage Sale

The Holy Family Church, Oldenburg, rummage sale is July 28, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; and July 29, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. On Saturday, antique items are half price from 1-3 p.m., and clothing and miscellaneous items are half price all day. On Sunday, everything is $2 a bag. Info: 934-3013.

BHS Bookstore Hours

Batesville High School bookstore hours are July 30, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  with freshman orientation from 9 a.m.-noon;July 31 and Aug 2, noon-7 p.m.; Aug 1 and Aug 3, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Counselors will leave at 4 p.m. July 31 and Aug. 2. Students may also pick up fall driver education forms. Families should use the west entrance (under the stained glass windows facing State Road 46).

Josh Siefert Benefit
