Chamber Nominations Deadline

Nominations for four Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce honors are due Dec. 14. Forms can be downloaded by going to www.batesvillein.com and clicking on Event Applications. Info: 934-3101.

Live Nativity

Sunman Community Church, 304 Vine St., is holding a live Nativity Dec. 14-15, 5:30-8 p.m. Live animals, music, refreshments. Info: 812-623-3135.

Train Display

Doug Evans’ operating S-gauge model train display is Dec. 12-16, Batesville library meeting room.

Retreat

A Retreat with Hildegard of Bingen: Visionary, Saint, Healer and Prophet will be presented Dec. 14, 7 p.m.-Dec. 16, noon, Oldenburg Franciscan Center. Cost varies. Info and reservations: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.

“The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever”

The East Central High School Drama Department will present “The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever” Dec. 14-15, 7 p.m. and Dec. 16, 2 p.m. Cost: adults, $7; students and senior citizens, $5; kids 5 and under, free.

Saturday, Dec. 15        

Santa’s Workshop

Children in grades K-6 can handcraft and wrap gifts for Mom and Dad at a Santa’s Workshop Dec. 15, 10-11:30 a.m.,  Brookville library. To register: 765-698-2582 and 765-647-4031.

Library Recruitment and Sale

The Friends of Batesville Memorial Public Library will hold a recruitment drive and Christmas sale of books, movies and ornaments with free refreshments Dec. 15, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., library lobby.

Sunday, Dec. 16

Stillboard/Trap Shoot

Tri-Township Conservation Club, Oldenburg, will host a memorial stillboard and trap shoot Dec. 16, 11 a.m.  Prizes: meat and money. Proceeds go to Heart and Cancer Fund.

Stillboard Shoot

Batesville Sons of the American Legion will host a stillboard shoot Dec. 16, 11 a.m., Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271. Info: 934-2228.

Dance Program

“A Century of Christmases,” presented by 40 Dance Studio students, is Dec. 16,  2 p.m., Batesville High School auditorium.

St. Nicholas Concert

The St. Nicholas School, Sunman, Christmas concert is Dec. 16, 4 p.m., Oldenburg Academy.

Pastor Installation

The installation of Pastor Roger Tornes at Adams Lutheran Church is Dec. 16, 4 p.m. To RSVP for the freewill offering meal afterwards: 812-852-2200.
