The St. Leon Oktoberfest is Oct. 4, beginning at 4 p.m: fish fry, 5 p.m.; karaoke, 7 p.m.; Oct. 5, beginning at 3 p.m.: chicken dinner, 4 p.m.; pork chop dinner, 5:30 p.m.; both days: beer garden, kids games.

Fear Factory is open Oct. 4-5, 7-10 p.m., $5; and special midnight tour Oct. 4, $10, RomWeber Marketplace (use east side Depot Street entrance between East Pearl and South streets).

Saturday, Oct. 5

Batesville Masonic Lodge 668 breakfast, Oct. 5, 6-10 a.m. Minimum donation: adults, $5; children 6-12, $3; under 6, free. Takeout orders: 934-3144.

First Saturday Hike, Oct. 5, 9 a.m., Versailles State Park swimming pool parking lot. Free with $5 vehicle entrance fee. Info: 812-689-7431.

The Batesville K12, a 12K race organized by the Batesville Community Education Foundation, is Oct. 12, 9 a.m., George-Main streets intersection. The entry fee is $25 before Oct. 5 and $30 after. Klemme’s Corner United Church of Christ, Brookville, Fall Festival is Oct. 6, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Fried chicken dinners, $10 for adults; silent auction, raffles, games, crafts, music, pumpkin patch hayride.

Monday, Oct. 7

A blood drive will be held Oct. 7, 2-7 p.m., Southeastern Indiana YMCA on the American Red Cross bus.

The Daughters of Isabella All Saints Circle 1384 will meet Oct. 7, 7 p.m., Knights of Columbus. Wear a Halloween costume.
