Golf Outing

The fourth annual Explore 2 Learn Children’s Museum Golf Outing is June 1, 1 p.m., Hillcrest Golf and Country Club. Cost: $100 per person. Sponsorships available. Proceeds go toward efforts to open a children’s museum in Batesville. Registration forms available at www.explore2learn.org. Info: Amber McGuire, 932-9015.

Queen’s Pageant Entry Forms Due

Young ladies who reside in Ripley County and are at least 16 and will not be 21 until after Aug. 19 are eligible to participate in the Ripley County Queen Pageant. Entry forms are available at The Herald-Tribune. Completed paperwork should be mailed to Ripley County Queen Pageant, c/o Becky Harmeyer, 603 W. County Road 925 N., Batesville, IN 47006, and must be received by Monday, June 4.

Masonic Breakfast

Batesville Masonic Lodge 668 will serve a monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast June 2, 6-10 a.m. Minimum donation: adults, $5; children 6-12, $3; under 6, free. Takeout orders: 934-3144.

“Hoosiers”  on

Blu-ray Celebration

The movie “Hoosiers”  on Blu-ray Celebration is June 2, Milan: 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum, 203 W. Carr Street, open; noon, youth basketball activities through grade 8, Milan High School gym; 2 p.m., free movie screening, MHS gym; 3:30 p.m., meet Milan ’54 basketball players, free autographs and $10 photos to benefit new museum; 5:30 p.m., meet the ’54 team and wine tasting, museum’s future home, 201 Carr St. (tickets  $25).Info: www.ripleycountytourism.com.

St. John’s Homecoming

St. John’s United Church of Christ, Penntown, is having its homecoming June 3. Worship, 9:30 a.m.; dinner, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Freewill offering. Proceeds benefit St. John’s Cemetery.

Art Entry Submissions

Entry forms for the Rural Alliance for the Arts Art Show are available at Batesville Memorial Public Library, Schwestern Gallery of Arts and RomWeber Marketplace for artists 18 and older. Categories are fine arts, applied arts and photography. Art should be submitted June 4, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 5-7 p.m., The Hansen Center. Info: Regina Siefert, 934-5213.
