Breakfast

The Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department will host a pancake and whole hog sausage breakfast Oct. 28, 7 a.m.-1 p.m., firehouse. Freewill offering.

The New Alsace Conservation Club is hosting a sausage and pancake breakfast Oct. 28, 7:30 a.m.-noon, New Alsace American Legion. Cost: adults, $8; children under 10, $4; under 3, free.

A Columbus Day Breakfast will be held Oct. 28, 8 a.m.-noon, Batesville Knights of Columbus hall. Freewill offering. Proceeds go to American Legion Baseball Team.

Stillboard/          Trap Shoot

Tri-Township Conservation Club, Oldenburg, will host a stillboard and trap shoot Oct. 28, 11 a.m.  Prizes: meat and money.

Turkey Dinner

St. John’s, Enochsburg, annual turkey dinner is Oct. 28, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Cost: adults, $9; children, $4. Raffles, turtle soup.

Parent-to-Parent Gathering

A junior high parent-to-parent gathering to learn more about Oldenburg Academy from a parent perspective will be held Oct. 28, 4:30-6:30 p.m., RomWeber Market-place. Use north en-trance on Depot Street near Pearl Street. Info: Jenny Geers, 212-7374 or jengeers@etczone.-com.

Election Prayer Service

An election prayer service with patriotic rosary will be held Oct. 28, 7 p.m., St. Louis Catholic Church.

“Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?: A Guide to Passing on Personal Possessions,” presented by the Brookville/Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, is Oct. 29, 6:30-8 p.m., Brookville Public Library.

Flu Vaccine Clinic

The Franklin County Health Department flu vaccine clinic is Oct. 30, 10 a.m.-noon, Laurel Library. Once insurance cards are shown, workers can file vaccine costs with some insurance plans. Prices vary.  Limited amount of free flu vaccines for uninsured children and children with Medicaid. Info: 765-647-4322.

Haunted History

Attendees can tell ghostly stories and listen to Franklin County  spooky tales and legends Oct. 30,  2:30 p.m.,  Laurel Library.
