Absentee Voting

Franklin County registered voters may cast absentee ballots at the clerk’s office in the courthouse, Brookville, on two Saturdays, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., or weekdays, 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m., 765-647-5111, Ext. 3.  Ripley County voters may cast absentee ballots Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., or weekdays, 8 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4 p.m., courthouse election room, 812-689- 4783.  Nov. 5 at noon is the deadline to cast an absentee ballot.

3 vs. 3 Tourney

The Batesville Soccer Club is hosting its annual Batesville Casket Cup 3 vs. 3 Tourney Oct. 27, Bill Gillispie Soccer Park. Registration forms available at www. batesvillesoccer.org or at the concession stand.

Spooktacular

A Spooktacular for students in grades K-6 is Oct. 27, 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Tyson Library upper level, Versailles. Displays, games, a craft and refreshments.

Turkey Dinner

The Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3183 annual turkey dinner is Oct. 27, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Info: Patti Weberding, 934-3644.

Trick-or-Treat

Metamora’s trick-or-treat hours are Oct. 27, 5-7 p.m.

Chicken Dinner

and Dance

A chicken dinner will be held at the St. Joseph American Legion, St. Leon, Oct. 27, 5-7:30 p.m. followed by a dance with music by 2 Hot Tacos.

Chicken Dinner

The Laurel Volunteer Fire Department Chicken Dinner is Oct. 27, 5-8 p.m., Laurel Fire House Station No. 1. Cost is $7. Proceeds go toward much needed turnout gear.

Fear Factory Closes

The final Fear Factory tours are Oct. 27, 7-10 p.m., RomWeber Marketplace, enter on Depot Street. Admission $5. Proceeds

benefit Cierra’s Club.

Corn Maze Ends

The annual Metamora Corn Maze, located east of the town off of U.S. 52, is open every Saturday and Sunday in October from 1-5 p.m. Admission is $5, or $4 each for groups over 10. Proceeds benefit the Whitewater Canal Trail.
