Tuesday, April 1

A Healthy Heart Dinner sponsored by Margaret Mary Health is April 1, 5 p.m., Sherman House. Cardiologist Dr. Eugene Chung is the guest speaker. The cost is $10. Info and to register: Ashley Morris, 933-5257.

The Napoleon Senior Community Club will meet April 1, 6 p.m., Napoleon Community Center. Bring a covered dish and table service.

Batesville Knights of St. John No. 243 will meet April 1, 7:30 p.m., Knights home.

The Daughters of Isabella 20th anniversary dinner and meeting is April 7, 6 p.m., Sherman House. RSVPs by April 1, Theresa Bedel, 934-4582. Bring food pantry donations and reservations for April 26 Spring Fling.

Wednesday, April 2

The Columbus Star Quilters’ Guild will meet April 2, 9:30 a.m., Masonic lodge, 4131 Rocky Ford Road, Columbus. Doris Goins will talk about Accept the Challenge – the Hoffman Challenge Trunk Show. Attendees should bring a show and tell item.

The La Leche League of Sunman, a breast-feeding support group, will meet April 2, 5-6 p.m., Dr. Suzanne Martini’s office, 122 Nieman St., Sunman. Info: 812-654-2593.

Friends of the Batesville Memorial Public Library will meet April 2, 7 p.m.

Children must be 5 by Aug. 1 for Franklin County Community School Corp. kindergarten registration. Registration times are April 2, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and April 3, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Brookville Elementary School (765-647-3503) and Laurel Elementary School (765-698-3851); and April 2, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and April 3, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Mount Carmel Elementary School (800-543-5880). Parents should bring an official birth certificate, Social Security number and completed immunization record and are encouraged to bring the prospective kindergartner.

The free seminar Transforming Your Local Economy from the Purdue Center for Regional Development will be presented twice April 3: 8:30-11:30 a.m., Brookville United Methodist Church; and 2-5 p.m. Batesville Memorial Public Library.
