Saturday, March 15

The Tie Dye Dash for Tom 5K Run/Walk is March 15, 10 a.m., Holy Family Church, Oldenburg. Cost: $20, includes T-shirt. Registration forms available at The Village Store or Brau Haus, Oldenburg. All proceeds go to medical and funeral expenses for Tom Waechter, who recently passed away after battling brain cancer. Info: Connie Collins, 934-4025 or cscollings727@gmail.com.

State Rep. Jud McMillin (R-Brookville) will host a legislative update March 15, 1-4 p.m. Franklin County High School cafeteria, Brookville.

The Batesville Eagles Aerie pool tournament is March 15, 1:30 p.m. Members and nonmembers welcome. Entry fee, $10.

Batesville Eagles Aerie will host CRB March 15, 8 p.m.-midnight, for its St. Patrick’s Day Dance. Free.

The due date to submit Batesville Tool & Die scholarship applications is March 15. To get an application, local high school students should contact a guidance counselor or e-mail hr@btdinc.com.

Sat.-Sun., March 15-16

The TriForce Mission Team will host a turtle soup sale March 15, 1-6 p.m.; and March 16, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or until sold out, St. Louis School cafeteria. Cost: $4 per quart. Proceeds go toward the group’s summer mission trip to Milford Center, Ohio.

The East Central High School Drama Department will present the musical “The Music Man” March 15, 7:30 p.m., and March 16, 3 p.m. Tickets available at the door: adults, $10; senior citizens and students, $5.

Sunday, March 16

A sausage and pancake breakfast will be held March 16, 7:30 a.m-12:30 p.m., St. Jacob United Church of Christ, 29959 Blue Creek Road, Sunman. Bake sale, raffle.

Sons of the American Legion will host a stillboard shoot March 16, 11 a.m., Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271. Info: 934-2228.
