Saturday, March 8

A youth turkey hunting seminar will be held March 8, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Laughery Valley Fish and Game Club, Versailles. Registration begins at 8 a.m. This is a free program. Lunch provided. Door prizes. Info: Bob Hughes, 812-654-3724.

A Women’s Day: Women of Creativity will be presented March 8, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Oldenburg Franciscan Center. Cost: $45 per person or two for $80. Info: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.

On March 8, the Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library will host Feral Children, Youth Without Culture, 11 a.m.; and Maggie Delaney, Indentured Servant, a living history presentation, 2 p.m. Info and RSVP: 812-663-2826 or www.greensburglibrary.org.

Area residents may chat with Batesville Intermediate School art teacher and muralist Rebecca Davies during an artist’s reception March 8, 1-5 p.m., Batesville Memorial Public Library. An exhibit of her acrylic paintings runs March 1-31.

The Oldenburg Academy Students in Sports Chicken Dinner is March 8, 4-7 p.m., Batesville Knights of Columbus hall. All-you-can eat for dine in only. Cost: adults, $10; ages 3-12, $6; whole chicken carryout, $10; carryout dinner (one time through line), $10.

The Hamburg Knights of St. John will have a pork chop supper March 8, 4:30-7:30 p.m., Hamburg hall. Cost: $10.

The Morris Volunteer Firemen’s breakfast is March 9, 7 a.m.-1 p.m., Schad Hall, Morris. Freewill offering. Proceeds go toward equipment.
