Saturday, Dec. 21

A public dance is Dec. 21, 8-11 p.m., Batesville Eagles. One-man band Gene Gillman will play country ‘50s and ‘60s music.

Sat.-Sun., Dec. 21-22

The Metamora Old-Fashioned Christmas Walk is Dec. 21, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; Dec. 22, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sun.-Tue., Dec. 22-24

The New Point Christian Church Live Nativity is Dec. 22-24, 7-9 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 23

Kids in grades K-4 can handcraft and wrap gifts for their parents at Santa’s Workshops Dec. 23, 10 a.m., Brookville library and 2 p.m., Laurel library. RSVP: 765-647-4031 and 765-698-2582.

Wednesday, Dec. 25

The Batesville food pantry will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Friday, Dec. 27

The Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, will host Christmas tours Dec. 27, 6-8 p.m. Nature Christmas tree, Chime Choir. Info: 934-2475.

Saturday, Dec. 28

The Audubon Society Bird Count will be presented Dec. 28, 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Michaela Farm, Oldenburg. Cost: $10 for lunch. RSVP: 933-6437 or center@oldenburgosf.com.

Monday, Dec. 30

United Families will meet Dec. 30, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Community Mental Health Center’s Intensive Youth Services office, 215 E. George St. Dinner and child care provided.

Registration for Southeastern Indiana YMCA programs for the winter 2014 session begin Dec. 30 for members and Jan. 2 for potential members. The programs will start Jan. 6. Info: www.siymca.org or 934-6006.

Tuesday, Dec. 31

A Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana distribution is Dec. 31, 4-6 p.m., parking lot behind the Schilling Center, Brookville.

A New Year’s Eve party with music by Crum Karaoke will be held Dec. 31, 7 p.m., Batesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3183. Bring a snack to share. Cost: $5 per person.
