Easter Services

Delaware United Methodist Church will host Easter services: March 24, Palm Sunday, worship, 8:30 a.m., breakfast, 10 a.m.; evening service, 6 p.m.;  March 28, Holy Thursday, pitch-in dinner and service, 6 p.m.; March 29, Good Friday service and Easter egg hunt, 6 p.m.; and March 31, Easter service 8:30 a.m.

Kite Fly

A Kite Fly sponsored by Tyson Library, Versailles, is March 25, 1-2 p.m., Versailles State Park. Children must be accompanied by adults. Kites may be provided for children who do not have them. To RSVP: 812-689-5894.

Parent Gathering

A free monthly Southeast Indiana Economic Opportunity Corp. parent gathering is March 25, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Community Mental Health Center Intensive Youth Services Office, 215 E. T he Batesville Memorial Public Library Board of Trustees will meet March 27, 5 p.m.

Water Flushing

Batesville Water Utility employees will be flushing water mains March 28 beginning at 5 p.m. and March 29 beginning at 6 p.m. Customers may experience fluctuations in water pressure, and the sediment that breaks loose from the pipes can contain iron and manganese, which can stain clothing and make the water unsightly to drink. Red Cross

Open House

Persons may pick up free disaster books, tour the Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle, volunteer and enjoy refreshments March 30, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Batesville Kroger. All donations will stay local. Info: Charlie Israel, 812-212-9001.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Oldenburg Academy Alumni Association’s Easter egg hunt for kids up to age 10 is March 30, 10 a.m., Sisters of St. Francis grounds, Oldenburg. Bring baskets. Refreshments.
