On Nov. 10, Batesville offers curbside pickup of large items from residents’ homes starting at 5 a.m. Acceptable items: clothing; furniture, bedsprings and mattresses; rugs and carpet pieces; rubber hose; appliances; wood, bundled 4 feet or shorter, 75 pounds maximum; insulation; cans and buckets, totally cleaned and dry; paint cans containing dried paint only. The free Walk off the Gravy Historic Walk, sponsored by Friends of

Park historian Bill Dallman will lead the walk, which will take about two hours on an easy trail past original home sites and park structures. Tykes Ride

The Franklin County HOBOS (Helpers on Bikes Organization) Bikers for Tykes Ride/ Dinner/Dance is Nov. 24, sign-ups at 10:30 a.m., ride at noon, Pioneer Restaurant, Brookville.
