Masonic Breakfast

Batesville Masonic Lodge 668 will serve a monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast Nov. 3, 6-10 a.m. Minimum donation: adults, $5; children 6-12, $3; under 6, free. Takeout orders: 934-3144.

Wellness Expo

A free Margaret Mary Community Hospital Wellness Expo is Nov. 3, 8 a.m.-noon, Southeastern Indiana YMCA gyms. Persons need to preregister for  free cholesterol screenings: 933-5257.

Absentee Voting

Franklin County registered voters may cast absentee ballots at the clerk’s office in the courthouse, Brookville,  Nov. 3, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., or weekdays, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., 765-647-5111, Ext. 3. Ripley County voters may cast absentee ballots Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., or weekdays, 8 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4 p.m., courthouse election room, 812-689-4783. Nov. 5 at noon is the deadline to cast an absentee ballot.

Chili Cookoff

The Merchants Association of Metamora Chili Cookoff is Nov 3, 11 a.m.-3p.m., firehouse. Starting at noon, diners can rate their favorite chili for the People’s Choice Award and hear live entertainment. Cash prizes. Info: www.metamoraindiana.com/chili-cookoffentry.htm.

Benefit Dinner

A freewill donation fried chicken benefit dinner to assist with medical expenses for Josh Siefert, who suffered a traumatic brain injury in an ATV accident, is Nov. 3, 4-7 p.m. St. Mary’s of the Rock Church Hall, Batesville. Raffle, live band 8 p.m.-midnight. Info: Beth Neukam, 812-212-0047.

Stew Festival

The Whistleberry Stew Festival, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of New Point, is Nov. 3, 4-7 p.m., New Point Community Center. Freewill offering. Proceeds benefit Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis.

Fall Cookout

The public is invited to a free hot dog meal Nov. 3, 5-7:30 p.m., Batesville Baptist Church. Children’s games and activities. Info: 934-5384.
