YMCA Registration

The Southeastern Indiana YMCA Fall II  session program registration begins Sept. 17 for members and Sept. 20 for potential members. Programs begin Sept. 24. Info: www. siymca.org or 934-6006.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 18

NARFE Meeting

CMHC Open House

The Community Mental Health Center open house at its newest  facility is Sept.  18,  3-6:30 p.m., 16 N. Depot St., Batesville. Twelve clients between 18-26 who will participate in the Transition to Independence Process will live in one-bedroom apartments there.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 19

Golden Citizens

The Batesville Golden Citizens welcome card players to join them Sept. 19, 1-4 p.m., Holy Family Church, Oldenburg, Father Rudolph Room; and 6-9 p.m., Memorial Building basement. Info: Helen Ellinghausen, 934-4359.

Library Program

Jim Trumbull will present information about the Nowlin Mound located in Dearborn County Sept. 19, 6:30 p.m., Brookville Library. Info: 765-647-4031.

Harlem Wizards Game

The East Central Dancers will sponsor a  game between the Harlem Wizards, a division of the Harlem Globetrotters, and The Trojan Trolls Sept. 19, 7 p.m., East Central High School gym. Advance tickets: students and senior citizens, $8; general admission, $10; at the door, general admission, $12.

Financial Peace

Batesville Christian Church will host Financial Peace University classes beginning Sept. 19, 7 p.m. Info or to register: Eric Bingaman, 934-5147.

 

Thursday, Sept. 20

Coffee Social

St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Fink’s Road, Osgood, will sponsor a coffee social Sept. 20, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Freewill offering.

Civil War Lecture

Northern Ohio author Rich McElroy  will discuss his latest book, “Battlefield Presidents,” and the role of women in the Civil War Sept. 20, 6 p.m., Brookville Public Library.

Library Sale

The Friends of Batesville Memorial Public Library used books, videos, CDs and audiobooks sale is Sept. 20-22, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., library annex, 10 W. Boehringer St.  Prices range from 25 cents- $1.
