Scrapbooking

The Sassy Scrappers second annual Fall Overnight Crop for ladies 12 and older interested in scrapbooking is Sept. 14, 6 p.m. through Sept. 15, noon, Church on the Rock. Participants should bring snacks to share. Breakfast provided. RSVP: 934-5192.

Free Yard Sale

The Batesville Vineyard Community Church annual free yard sale is Sept. 15, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Car Wash

Logan Schwering will hold a freewill donation car wash Sept. 15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Cross County Plaza parking lot behind McDonald’s. Proceeds will be used for his Eagle Scout fundraiser to design and install a green space along the newly constructed path connecting Brum Woods to the baseball/softball complex.

NMLRA Shoot

The Nationa Muzzle Loading Rifle Association’s National Championship Shoot is Sept. 15-16, Friendship. Living history demonstrations, crafts, classes, music, youth activities. Info: 800-745-1493 or nmlra@nmlra.org.

Turtle Soup Sale

St. Louis Catholic Church is having its mock turtle soup sale Sept. 15, 8 a.m.-noon, Activity Center. It will also be available at Schmidt’s Bakery during its business hours and during the church festival Sept. 16 while supplies last. Cost: gallon, $12; half gallon, $6; quart, $3.

 

Monday, Sept. 17

Historical Dinner

A Franklin County Historical Society dinner Sept. 17, 6 p.m., Brookville Methodist Church, is followed by Dr. Wesley Rediger discussing “Equaliberty – Martin Luther King's Call to Immediate Personal Action,” 7 p.m. Dinner reservations at $12: Martha Shea, 765-647-5182.

Right to Life

Southeastern Indiana Right to Life will meet Sept. 17, 7 p.m., Versailles Church of Christ, Jarvis Drive.

FGA Meeting

Deadline

The Food and Growers Association annual meeting is open to the public Sept. 20, 6-7:30  p.m., Walhill Farm. Local food tastings, the Rev. Eric Bingaman on “Who Will Meet our Community Need for Food?” The meeting is free for FGA members and $10 for others. To RSVP by Sept.17: 812-212-2655.
